I am a pre school advisor and top of my list of advice is to check the teacher.gov.uk website and click on preschool. Also you may want to try early years as a google although you will be inundated with answers and need to have a specific serch in mind. Are you interested in working in pre school education, if so check out the Early Years Professional Status providers in your area and bear in mind that this is an occupation that is seeking graduates to join it's workforce in an attempt to raise the professional status and quality of provision. Do you need this so you can work in the field or for your child?

Check your local office of education and your local childcare resource and referral agency.  First Five California has great information, too.  Two excellent websites are www.ccppns.org and www.preschools.coop for parent participation possibilities.
