  1. Will you be renting a car?  Or are you trying to stay close to friends?  There are other nice places to stay in Southern California besides Santa Monica.

    For Santa Monica, go on the internet to VRBO(Vacation Rentals By Owner).  There are about twenty rentals in Santa Monica.
