I don't use contacts or anything, I was just wondering...

What would happen if you put it in the wrong way and went behind your eyelid or something? Would you just have to blink it out? Is it possible for contacts to like, go to the back of your eye?

Thanks!!

  1. They can't do that,

but sometimes, they can get stuck so that you can't even see them while looking in a mirror; that hurts!

My dad's co-worker once had a really bad pain in his eye and somehow found his contact rolled up in a tube and stuck under his lower eye-lid.

  2. My dad wears them and I'm pretty sure they can't go behind your eye. There's too many veins and junk in the way. :P

  3. They can't go too far back. There are muscles surrounding the eye that seal off the back from the front. They can get stuck under your eyelids, but it's not very hard to get them out when they do, you can just pull it out by the edge. Nothing to worry about, really.

  4. I have worn contacts since the 5th grade... so thats 7/8ish years... if you put the contact in inside out it feels like you have an eyelash in your eye. It cant go to the back of your eye, but it can go up above your actual eye, and get stuck up there. It has happened to me before, you just have to look down, and blink a lot... sometimes you can actually have to have it removed because it gets to far into your eye.
