  1. Talk to someone continue meds and try to get your mind on other things.

  2. live a life of meaning rather than give it up for the insignificant downers that come your way.

It's no different than those lazy people without jobs who complain... "If I was rich, I'd..." The problem is that they're not out there doing anything about it, they're just making a fuss over something they don't really show they want.

I hate to be harsh, but I read the same questions over and over... the solution is to put the effort and love into yourself, and reap the rewards of the one thing you have and can never get back once it's gone.

I don't care if no one ever loves you, appreciates you, or carries you through life. You have to do that stuff for yourself regardless, or you'll never feel alive.

Love you!.. just put all your heart into yourself and love your ability to live and be. Just the fact that you're self aware is absolutely astonishing, so embrace it, don't throw it out!

...and eat veggies... fresh veggies if you can, they're awesome for your brain!

  3. Try to think back. When did the depression start? And most importantly, why? Most Depression treatments involve making you feel better, without getting rid of the cause of the depression in the first place.

Try to do the things you used to like. Go out and catch a good movie, skate, chat, anything. Don't sit around and think. Attempting suicide only makes things worse. Everyone looks at you like you have given up on life. Don't let life win, you need to win.

Whatever you do, don't go to support groups that make you feel like it's okay to give up. Make a list of the things to wish to change, of the life you wish to lead, and the steps you need to take to regain your footing.

  4. find your dreams, your ambitions, and if you dont have any, thats why you should find them.  you need a little inspiration.....

    natures first green is gold

    her hardest hue to hold

    her early leaf's a flower

    but only so and hour

    then leaf subsides to leaf

    so eden sank to grief

so dawn goes down to day

    nothing gold can stay

  5. Try venting to your best friend, stuffed animal... or if your angry, try punching something that wont hurt your hand, like a pillow.

Count to ten backwards, with a deep breath, and slowly. Hopefully you'll loosen up.

Or try meditating, going to Mental Therapy... Something to get you two mellow up, and stay happy!

    :))))

  6. Communication is the key. Just talk to someone. A good support group of family and friends will help you. Just let them know that you need someone to talk to during this hardship. Take care of yourself.

  7. You need to clear your mind.

Think to yourself. Who are you hurting the most by being this depressed?

    Answer : Yourself

This is affecting you mentally and physically. Start loving yourself and for what you are.

Take a holiday. Go somewhere quiet serene. Change your focus in life.

And do not go back to the hospital.

Cure is in your hands. You are the master of yourself. You have the key to your own happiness.

    Learn to control it.

  8. Go right back there. You belong there.

  9. You should do ANYTHING that occupies your mind while making arrangements for some consistent one on one with a good health care provider that you're comfortable with.

It usually takes more than just taking the first one to find a psychologist who you're comfortable with - one that you know actually cares AND is smart. Otherwise you won't take it seriously cause you'll feel like they don't - just be spinning your wheels.

For real though, ANY activity that occupies your mind is a good activity. It's those thoughts of doubt, discouragement, loneliness, etc that get things headed in a bad direction, so you don't offer them a parking space. Make sense?

If you're in Seattle, I could use help in my garden - and trust me the weeding is never ending.

So just find something to do - anything that will keep you occupied, and start shopping around for the right person or persons to talk about stuff with.

  10. Uhm, go back to the hospital if your depressed already.

  11. You can talk to other people on line, so you know you are not the only one.  Check out online communities at http://www.nami.org

Contact your doctor and tell them that you are depressed again.

  12. I know how it is to be in the hospital for a long time then come out and feel depressed again.  I lied so many times just to get out of the hospital only to end up there again.

I would highly suggest talking to your doc.  They should be able to help you with this.  I was put in a day program to keep me from isolating myself...maybe they can do something like that for you.

I'm here for you if you ever need to talk...just message me.  I know you will get through this...be strong!

  13. hmm maybe you need to find your passion.. something you love to do, something that makes you happy, something that takes your mind off of everything esle. do you have one of those? Passions make life worth living again, so try to find one, (:

  14. Read A New Earth by Echart Tolle. It will help and read the Power of Now by him. These will show you how to find yourself.

  15. if you want message/email me we can talk much deeper about this as i have a bunch of questions for you.

  16. Depression can stay for a long time. I was taken off my meds last year in August. After about 2 months I had to start taking them again, and I still take them.

You need to get with a counselor or therapist. My pills stop suicidal thoughts but counseling is what is really helping me.

  17. Maybe call your doc or go out and do something fun like walking..

If you ever get bored online just go make a Myspace page that will keep you busy for some time..

  18. I think you should try to be more relaxed.  I also think that you should learn how to love yourself.  You should know your best features about your self.  Weather it's your loving personality, or your looks, you should be able to identify how great you are and what exactly makes you great.  I think you need some one to chat with, so you can express your feelings.  I suggest some one online, so you wont be ashamed, no matter what you have done.  And most importantly know that you are important and that you are a great person.

  19. GET A JOB J.O.B JOB

  20. Go out with friends and avoid staying alone so that you won't be depressed!!

  21. If you have not already done so, make an appointment with your doctor and let him know that although you were in hospital being treated you are still feeling depressed.  Give him/her a good background as to how you are feeling and why.  If they refer you to a psychologist, follow through with that appointment.

Otherwise, dont spend a lot of time listening to music that is depressing, or hanging out with depressing people.  Go out a lot more and see if you can socialise with a wider group of people.

  22. Go out to a party with your friends

  23. i would definately talk to someone that will actually listen!and try to do things that make you happy listen to happy music watch a funny movie.......maybe continue on with the pills just be careful

  24. Listen, try to relax. Nothing or no one is worth trying to take your own life. Find many different friends.

  25. Do something to stay active, go out with friends, don't think about being depressed, think about something positive. Listen to music or draw, do something to keep your mind off it.

Talk to your friends, they'll be helpful [:

    Feel better. <3

  26. Well sandra if you're Honestly that depressed and want to kill yourself then why dont you try.. Getting a boyfriend? Joining some activities? ^^ Anything that would get your mind off of suicidal thoughts.

  27. hey my mum knows how ya feel she has suffered with depression all her life and knows how hard it it i think you should stay on ure tablets and DONT stop taking them also try and get out as much as u can even if its 2 the shops hope this helps xxxx

  28. You should slap yourself and realize that you're wasting your time, there's not point in being depressed, make yourself happy by ignoring your sadness, change your outlook into a happy one. Try and enjoy the small things. Seriously, we can control our emotions, it's a huge misconception that we can't.

  29. well there are a lot of things you can do, like getting a therapist, talking to someone close to you. but i really recommend some sort of exercise, because exercising makes your brain make hormones that make you happy. give it a try!

  30. go see a dr so you can get on meds or see a shrink on a regular basis to find the cause of the depression

  31. This is a very simple answer.  Follow your discharge plan that they gave you at the hospital.  In the case of being discharged for a suicide attempt they would have sent you home the name of a doctor and psychologist.  (If not one or the other or both)

Call the hospital where you were discharged from and let them know the feelings of depression you still have.  If you are still feeling suicidal then you need to go back to the emergency room.

This is all coming from experience.  Don't let the depression build up inside you.    E-mail me if you want to as well but I am not a dr or therapist but I am more than willing to be your friend and talk.
