I'm just curious. Who thinks that the U.S. government was behind 9/11?

The more I look at the evidence, the more I find it hard to believe that the government was as naive as they claim. There were just too many coincidences. I don't ever like pointing the finger at our leaders, especially when it has to do with something so tragic, but I can't figure out how all the evidence points to anything, but the government. Let me hear your opinion.

I am not saying one way or the other, but I do believe that a more extensive investigation could have and should be done to either quiet the conspiracy theroists or show wrong doing of the government. Some of the people who are doubting the 9/11 reports are some very well connected people like Bob Doles chief of staff and the the theories that they have do seem to be credible.

There were no coincidences.  There was massive failure in the government to bother paying attention, and 9/11 was the result.  It's a lot easier for me to believe that the government is incompetent than it is for me to believe that our government is capable of pulling off a massive conspiracy.

2.3 trillion USD stolen on 9/10/2001. The plane hit in the exact spot the investigators were. on 9/11/2001. We were running FBI tests on simulations of terrorist attacks on 9/11. We had a defense system for when a plane goes off contact or off course we sent jets to check up on them. How did Al Qaeda know we were running tests that day?

Why didn't we shoot them down? Why did the world trade centers collapse like a controlled demolish? The buildings were made by steel, steel can't be melted by fire. The only way to have made the buildings collapse was through explosives at the bottom of the building to cause it to free fall? It would have taken an 1hr + for the buildings to have fallen for it to have been hit by plane(s). 7 seconds come?!?!?

I agree, and beleive it or not, Bin Laden is a CIA agent under the name of Tim Osmond. Search for any religious extremism and you'll find it either originating in the USA or sparked by the USA. BTW, I only found it in America when people ask you about your religion. Even in Spain, people didn't ask me what my religion was.

You know, this is a good question.  But, I really don't know what to believe.  I agree with what a previous poster said that buildings don't really collapse like what we saw on 911.  I have to say that the whole incident was rather suspicious.  Why did it have to happen on 9/11?  Why did Bush keep sitting there, no expressions what so ever.  He should have gotten up and excused himself there.  The children and people there would have eventually known what had happened.

I used to always make fun of people who believed such a thing, id be like you conspiracy cooks , always think the government is so evil. But after talking to a group of Architects with masters degrees , they explained to me how a building does not collapse like that , unless there is explosives in it. Also a NYFD fire chief saying he was positive he heard explosions in the building.  Look at this video , with an open mind , and tell me you do not think there is at least a chance that our government is behind this horrible incident , I hope one day we can know for sure so we can punish who ever killed those thousands of innocent hardworking people in the world trade centers.

I could believe that the terrorists could have boarded the planes and took them over.  But for them to be flown around for 2 hours without being intercepted by the military is nonsense.  And after crashing into the Twin Towers they collapsed at free fall speed straight down (the path of greatest resistance). More nonsense.  And then WTC Building 7 coming down at free fall speed into it's own footprint.  More nonsense.  And then an airliner crashes into the Pentagon but completely disintegrates.  Engines, Wheels, Passengers, Luggage, all gone.  And on top of that, we still haven't caught Osama bin Laden.  Are we looking for him anymore?

There is no such thing as the "US government" !!!

There are people that benefit from "disaster capitalism" that are not national players. They are international corporations that play for profits not national interests. They are traitors to the governments they work for and influence for their own needs. Tricky subject. It is clear that there are US nationals that have worked against the national interest from within the US government. There are also non-nationals working with them for their particular interests...like the Israelis that have for some reason been given high powered jobs in the US and may have their country's interests at heart.

Tricky subject. Time for treason trials in the US again. (me thinks)

Thousands, maybe millions of people believe that. There is overwhelming evidence that it was the case. Just do your own research, keep and open mind, and look carefully at both sides of the issue.

If you remember Sept. 12, 2001, Condeleeza Rice came on TV and promised everyone that the government would provide clear evidence that Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda were responsible for the attacks.  I guess you just have to be more patient...

I don't think they planned it or conspired it by any means...But if you come at it from an un-biased approach and do research on things that went on surrounding 9-11 I can base an argument that the government knew it was going to happen and did nothing...find a time line of were Osama Bin Laden was that entire summer all the way till October...the key being people actually knew where he was after 9-11 and he is still in hiding...Anyway I could rant, but thats just an example
