  1. Alright, I think i am qualified to answer your question.  Back in 05 I traveled alone to Australia and New Zealand, and I did take the contiki tour and I LOVeD it.  I ended up meeting lots of people that I actually still keep in contact with today.  Its a really great way to meet people and to do the things young people enjoy doing, plus, theres lots of drinking and going to bars... they take you to the bars in the area and the clubs and you have a great time!

I also took them the following year in Europe for 3wks with my friends I met from Contiki the year before and we had a great time as well... and then I traveled alone for the last 4months and ended up meeting so many people just by staying in hostels.  Some people I met from my travels I ended up traveling with them as well.... went to Asia with one of the guys I met from my travels as well...

Don't worry about it, you will meet a lot of people, if you go Contiki or not..   If its your first time traveling alone, I would go with contiki since they will take you to the cooler spots plus they have great excursions that you might not know about.

Enjoy yourself and relax you'll find yourself meeting people very easily. Travelers are welcoming folks...

  2. i think it's not gonna be that bad since you have other people with you although you might not know them.  But if i were you, i would convince someone to come with me or just postpone it. ( You don't really wanna be alone in a foreign country, do ya?)

    Good Luck Anyways !

  3. You'll meet people.
