I missed two of my Ortho-Trycyclin pills within one month. The first missed pill I took the next day along with that days pills..a week or so later I missed another pill and took it along with the next days pill. About maybe 5 days later my boyfriend and I had unprotected s*x 3 times within one night . I should be getting my period this week but I haven't gotten anything yet. I'm currently on the placebo's and only have 3 left now.. and still no period. I usually i get my period a bit early. Last month I got my period a bit late and it lasted a week when it usually lasts 3-4 days. So I'm hoping this month will be the same. I know nothing is 100% in the first place, but could I be pregnant? Kinda getting nervous over here.

I will greatly appreciate your answers.

  1. its possible your birth control doesnt take affect in the first month of taking it. so if that was your first month there is a large chance that you might be preggers. try and be just a little more careful k?

  2. Birth control is guaranteed to lower your percentage of getting pregnant dramatically, but it won't stop you falling pregnant all together. There is a possibility you could be pregnant, but i reckon the chances are very low. Like you said your period was a little late last month, so this just could be the simple reason why it hasn't come yet. But if you do miss a day where you forget to take your pills you must use a condom.

  3. It is unlikely you are pregnant.  Your cycle is probably just a bit late this month.
