If it's an older model, try to break out the back tail light. then take a piece of cloth and wave it around outside of the hole that you made. I'm sure another car will notice and call the cops.

every car made in the past decade has a trunk release switch located on the lid of the trunk inside the trunk, just grope around and push/pull anything you find
