I'm looking after my parents house while they are away, and they have a cat.

I'm allergic to her and feel very ill with headache runny nose and sneezing fits. Ive been here 3 days now but only started feeling bad this evening and the shops are shut as its late evening help..

go to a walgreens or walmart or some other 24 hour phamarcy and get sum benadryl

Open up the windows to allow fresh air in. Make sure that the cat can't get out first. Then try to stay out of the house as much as possible or at least away from the cat. Take allergy medication if needed.

Do you think your parents might have a packet of antihistamine tablets anywhere in the house? If not, could you ring a friend who can drive to go to a 24 hour store and pick up some for you.

if not, and you have to wait until tomorrow morning, get a flannel, run it under cold water, wring it out and place it over your eyes for a few minutes. It does ease symptoms slightly, but you do need some antihistamine to stop or ease your symptoms.
