  1. First of all,the Giant "Acapulco" is a hybrid, meaning road wheels on a mountain frame.[700c wheels instead of 26" wheels]Yet the hybrid wheel takes a larger width tire than a normal road bike.Normally 1.0-1.75 widths.

This makes a great commuter bike. The price is a tad high for Giants lowest end hybrid .

I would inspect the bike and if the wheels have warps in them then stay away. Also check the tires for cracks. Is the chain rusty?Does it shift well when pedaling?

Any good working namebrand bike that has no flaws in it is  worth 100 bucks.

Normally more, but this is a special frame made of high tensile steel and will not increase the bikes value even if it does say Giant on the side.High tensile steel is a good cheap steel, but it comes with a price, weight.Yet it has a high fatigue strength and good bump absorption,

That bike stock weighes in at 30.5 lbs to 33lbs depending on the pedals and tires used.

I hope this info and opinion can be of some help to you

  2. Wow... That was around late 90's. Do you have the year? If the year was 98' that model retailed for around $189.99. Not knowing the condition of the bike $125.00 for a 10+ old bike seems high to me. I would suggest $75 and settle for $100.
