I'm looking at buying a 130ps mondeo. What are the letters in the VIN number that I need to look for?

I am looking at buying a 2003 Ford Mondeo with the 130ps TDCI engine, but I have already come across some dodgy people selling the 115ps version but with the 130ps sticker (clearly fake) stuck under the bonnet. I think the engine details should be part of the VIN number - eighth digit along if my research is correct, but I can't find what the number/letter should be for the 130ps engine. Can anybody help?

The easiest way is to check with parkers by text, send them the reg. number & mileage & they'll text you back with the EXACT model & value.
