I rent my house and they won't let me install on the house and want me to take it with me when I leave so I need to install it into the ground w/o concreting the pole. Do I have other options?

  1. You can also get by with a "slab" type mount. Basically this uses a pole with a flat base that you can weigh down with concrete blocks or slabs. These are surprisingly stable as long as nobody is physically moving them around. Often these are only used on flat roofs but I've also used one right on the ground with good results. You may need to extend the height above the stock configration though in order to get it high enough.

  2. You don't need to use concrete if the hole is deep enough.

  3. If it moves, you lose the alignment/signal.
