I'm looking for CAR (NOT truck or SUV) models that runs on diesel... Older models.?

I am looking for a car model that runs on diesel to enventually convert to veg. oil. I am looking for a used car because I can't afford a new one. I am finding it hard in my research to find out which olderer model vechials ran on diesel. And, so, I turned to yahoo answers.

Mercedes is a good car for your project. Although someone has already converted a Mercedes sedan successfully to run on bio-diesel.

VW has a long line of cars that were diesel- VW Rabbit is one model

Look into VWs, a bunch of their cars are availible with diesels.

Lots of older model European cars, such as VW, SAAB, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo and the like run on diesel.

Keep in mind though, they will mostly be pushing 20yo, some 30, and spare parts and maintanence is expensive.
