  1. Hingham is a very wealthy &  VERY CONSERVATIVE town. If you've noticed, there are no fast food restaurants in town. That's because the town by laws prohibit such places for fear that they would "bring down" the historical integrity & conservative value of the town. In other words, you can rule out Hingham.

As for Weymouth, you would have more luck as far as by laws are concerned but the few clubs that were once there have since closed. There are many halls in town though & you can try to start something new  but there are currently no established venues that fit your band.

I'm not as familiar with the ins and outs of Quincy but it is a much larger city than Weymouth (population wise) and would probably be a better place to look. It is also just outside of Boston, so you are sure to find a more liberal atmosphere. Plus, if you do well & get a following of sorts, you are much closer to making the leap into getting a gig in Boston.

Musicians have a difficult time, but keep trying because all it takes is one big break.

    Best of luck !!!!

  2. i don't know offhand of any clubs like that south of the city (especially not in hingham!), but my advice to you would be to look in the phonebook and make some calls to clubs. see if your style is something they're interested in and try to set something up.

    good luck!
