I'm looking for a DVD player(UK) that i can plug a usb stick in to. . .?

& watch movies from a usb stick or copy from a usb stick to a harddrive on the dvd player???

anybody know where i can get one??? site or shop would be great.

  1. A notebook "could" do that and would probably play almost everthing in contrast to (divx certified) dvd players that will most likely only play avi with divx and xvid video. However if for some reason you need something like what you asked for I'd recommend the Philips DVP 5980. It's available at amazon.uk for example and it plays audio and video from USB sticks. Also it has a HDMI out and can do the upscaling of video (be it DVD or something from a usb stick) quite well ... usually better than most not-so-expensive flatscreen TVs, which often perform horribly at displaying non-HD-content.


  2. dont know about that philips make a dvd recorder with a usb port though look in argos cat or on line good luck
