Anyone own a Motobecane GIGI? I'm 5'0" tall, so probably need 44cm.

  1. There are many manufacturers that make quality frames for someone your size. You don't specify what kind of riding so I'll assume recreational group rides and not racing. Take a look at Specialized or Trek for mid-range bikes. Also try the brands carried by Performance Bike and Colorado Cyclist (online catalogs). Motobecane is an old French brand name that was sold and now the bikes are made by another company in Asia. That's not a bad thing since most bikes are made there now, it's just not the same brand it was in the 70s.

Pay special attention to the components. You'll probably look at Shimano Ultegra or 105 (105 is the lower line), Campagnolo Chorus or SRAM Rival. All of those are well made, quality components that will serve you well. They all work a little differently so it's up to your preference.

    Good luck!
