I'm looking for a bar in downtown Chicago to spend a 21st birthday. Any ideas??

I am planning a suprise 21st birthday for a friend and am looking for a bar to go to for a first "bar" experience. I am looking for somewhere fun with a dance area and has a cool atmosphere. I am just turning 21 myself so I have no idea what the bars are like downtown, any ideas would be awesome.. thanks!

Yes have it at your house this way any one gets drunk they can stay over and by doing this you may be saving someones life....no drunk drivers to worry about.

McGee's. Its by DePaul north, good atmosphere, oddly cheap considering its location. Be wary though, they are b******s about carding.
