  1. if you are beginning skimboarder i would use a wood skimboard. almost every company has a wooden boards here a few i know: zap skimboards, victoria skimboards, exile skimboards, or you can just look around a local surf shop. the price will be anywhere from 20 to 60 bucks for a wood board.
