I'm looking for a bike- any good brands i should look for?

I'm looking for a nice, well built bike in the $200 range. I was thinking of getting diamond back bike.

-Are the Iron Horse bikes good?

-I don't want to get a Magna bike- my last magna bike's brakes didn't hold up very well.

200 clams wont get you a 'well built' bike like you want.  Try to increase your budge to at least 250 and you might find something.  Like a lot of brands, Diamond Back and IH make some good bikes, and some crappy ones.   Magna is total junk as you have found out.  I'd suggest visiting a few bikes shops during the week (the weekend rush wont get you very good service and you'll feel rushed) and see what is out there in your price range.

I love my Trek mountain bike, it was a little over $200, but you can find them for that price range.
