Question:

I'm looking for a camera/monitor system for my office. Suggestions please?

Hi,

I'm in an office where I'm often with clients in a private room. I'd like a small (even 4 to 6") monitor so I can see when someone is in the waiting/reception area (where there would be a camera, of course). I have several rooms, so I'd like a small monitor in each private room receiving the image from the camera in the waiting area.

Is there a reasonably/moderately priced system someone would suggest? What is the name of this type of setup and where would one begin to look. I was thinking 'surveillance cameras' but usually those setups have several cameras and one monitor....I'm kinda looking for the opposite (several monitors and one camera).

How much might I expect to spend for this sort of setup?

Thanks in advance for all your insight!

  1. You would need a video splitter* relatively cheap

and VGA cables 15 pin  (Aten also) from splitter to monitors

and special Aten cable from vcam to splitter
