  1. if you can get hold of one i would say your best bet is a B S A bantam i Have found this on ebay a little bigger than you wanted but would probally do

  2. Go into this with open eyes - they're not something you can use everyday due to performance & reliability nightmares. Great fun for a sunny Sunday though.

  3. BSA Bantam bar none!

  4. ebay and google my friend

    even ask.com

  5. As others have said your best bet is an early Bantam. JG is a bit of a doom mongerer though. The beauty of things like Bantams was that they were so simple and can go for ever. There are still plenty of spares back ups available and clubs galore.

There was also the Exclesior 125 or very small the Raleigh Runabout. There was also the James Cadet that was a 125cc. Francis Barnett also produced 125 bike. A lot shared the Villiers engine so there is a muchness about them in some ways.

  6. BSA Bantam

  7. Not many British bikes of this size were actually made.

The early D.1 Bantams were 125cc and James made a 90cc powered by a Villiers engine, there will obviously be some more Villiers powered bikes around. The problem for you is that there never was a need for such small bikes the first real restriction on learners was 250cc, by the time the 125 limit came into force the British motorcycle industry had died.
