I need something that has the ability to take high quality pictures and video. My budget is around $300. Thanks

I worked as a product photographer for a website, and all I had was a Canon S3 IS.

The current model of that is the S5 IS. Very capable camera, the little flip screen made life so much easier.

If you're taking photos of small-ish items, you'll want to buy or make a light tent, too.

However, just because you have a reasonable camera, doesn't mean your images will automatically look great.

You'll really need to learn about photography, and about post processing.
