What do I need for games like this, I want a lot of power, so more than 2GB's RAM. I want a lot of HD space too, at least 500GB or more. I also want 1 to 2 graphics cards with at least 512MB, and it has to be Nvidea or something similar. Finally, it has to be a company that offers payments, because I cannot currently afford to pay out in full for a system like this. I've been looking at Dell, Alienware, and Apple. Any idea's?

  1. Here's my 2 cents...

Alienware and Apple generally are great companies, but they also overcharge. If you can find a good Dell on sale, then that may be your best bet. You can also check out whatever retail chain is by you. They all have credit options.

As far as what to look for, heres what I recommend...

    *Intel processor // Dual-core // at least 2.4GHz each

*2-3GB of RAM, anything more is overkill

*One (extra is overkill and overpriced) ATI Radeon 4850 or 4870 graphics card. Best bang for your buck (usually)

*250-320GB of HDD space is usually plenty

*Get Vista Home Premium (Home Basic is just crappy, and Ultimate is overpriced)

I hope this all helped. Good luck.

To check to see if the company is s******g you over, get all of the information you can on the parts they are using, and then look them up on Newegg.com. Its a great computer parts store.

  2. Moderate gaming?

That sounds like the beat all system to play anything that was ever made.

No, I don't know anyone who could sell you one like that on credit, have you tried borrowing from a bank or a credit agency?

  3. how much you want to spend. I would say the order for gaming of the computers you listed are this Alienware, Alienware, Alienware
