Question:

I'm looking for a good camera...any advice???

I want to try my hand at photography, mainly interested in taking nature photos.

I know I want a proffesional type camera with all the zoom attachments and all that good stuff.

I'm not sure which is best..a film camera or a digital camera??

Also can you recommend good models of cameras?

And perhaps a link where I can purchase it?

I would greatly appreciate any advice as they are so costly, and I'd hate to spend the money on something that is not worth it.

Thanks so much!!!

  1. I bought a Nikon D60 not too long ago. So far, it has proven to be one of the best lower end pro DSLR cameras I have seen. It comes standard with a AF-VR 18-55mm lens with plenty of room for lens upgrades. If you shop around, sometimes you can find a deal where two or more lenses are included.

  2. well i have a kodak 8 megipixle camera and it was around $200 it has an awesome picture and the zoom quality is amazing. don't settle for low megapixles. this camera will pay for itself in no time. i also do allot of nature pictures in addition to family and this camera is great for that, if u are trying to take a nature picture that is far away this is the best camera for it. it has a full color image and a 2 inch digital screen on the back. it also o uses a memory card so u can take allot of pictures in full quality.it will zoom in about 2 good sized city blocks before going blurry, maybe more.like i said this camera will pay for itself within the week. heres a link to it.

  4. First of all, don't buy a film camera. I bought a film camera 6 years ago and that was really a mistake inasmuch as everything is digital these days. I spent a lot of money and just don't use it anymore; that's a pity. This is why I would definitely go for digital if I were you -- it's much more convenient.

This website helps figure out what you might like:

http://www.myproductadvisor.com; you can also buy from there. It helps a lot to get a clearer picture of what camera you want.

There are many sites where you can purchase your camera, such as http://www.pricegrabber.com, http://www.amazon.com, http://www.bhphotovideo.com, or http://www.imaging-resource.com, just to name a few. Oh, and Ritz Camera http://www.ritzcamera.com is a good place to buy at, too.
