I'm looking for a good video camera between 200-400 dollars.?

Size is not an issue. I'm an amateur movie maker and am getting sick of my sony handycam from 2000, as it's outdated and has poor video quality. I need something with good video quality, audio, and batter life. Must be digital, mini dv is fine as long as there is a memory card slot. Should be between 200-400 dollars. Does not need to come with any cheap effects, I get the most enjoyment out of editing videos. Thank you.
