Me (24) and my mother (55) have been going to Braco for ten years.  It is now owned by Superclubs.  But they have horse back riding, fishing, golfing, pools, pool bars, several restaurant, beach and a nude beach if you want.  It is laid back but has a lot to do if you really want.  It is also all inclusive.

Iberostar Rose Hall beach and Riu Montego Bay are great choices. Riu Mo Bay Opend late August and Iberostar is up and running. The rates are pretty low for the five star thingy but I guess they are trying to have people get used to them.

All the resorts in the Riu chain should suit you. Ocho Rios may be better for both of you based on the age difference. It has a lot to offer that anyone would appreciate. Many attractions are there so you could stay at riu ocho rios and enjoy St. Ann and maybe a tour of some other parts of the island. http://www.riu.com/ochorios
