  1. THose funds are the ones that have lost the absolute most money in the last 2 years.  Most have merged or closed.  You could find a hedge fund that bought a bunch of the "nonperforming" mobile home loans.  They might make some money.  THe problem is that no one is proud of owning these loans so they don't advertise it.

  2. Wow ! That's a very specific area... hard to imagine a fund or ETF covering something that small... and I don't think with gas a $ 4.00 a gallon is the time to invest in " big boxes on wheels" that get single digit mpg !!

  3. There are so few publicly traded mobile home companies still in business that it would have to be a might small mutual fund to specialize in this sector.

Of the one I know about, which are very few, there is Fleetwood Enterprises FLE selling for about 2.40 a share.  Has not made any money since 2000.  That was 8 years ago.  Champion Enterprises CHB selling for about 2.97 a share.  Actually this company did show a profit last year and does have a positive book value at least for the time being.  Coachman Industries COA selling for about 1.98 a share.  Modular homes is a small segment of this company's business.

You can buy 100 shares of each for a grand total of $740.  Start your own personal mutual fund.
