How can I find online a painting I once saw in the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art - in or about 2002-2004? It was a orangy-golden painting with an Apollo like silhouette... Please help :)

  1. Is it Christos Koutsouras 'Talbot Street'?

  2. I was once looking for a painting I saw at the Minneapolis Institute of Art over a decade earlier and I e-mailed them.  I knew the name of the painting but not the artist.  Luckily they had all their art online, so I have been able to study Lehmann's "Calypso" ever since.  http://www.artsmia.org/viewer/detail.php...

I would contact the curator.  If it was in a traveling exhibit it might be a little trickier.  Here is iMOCA's contact page http://www.indymoca.org/public/index.asp... . . . just give them as complete a description, including anything else about the exhibit you might remember . . . and then be patient.  Hopefully you will have a happy outcome like I did!
