I'm looking for a photo edit that will crop around a selected object instead of a square shape?

Can somebody tell me if there is a program that will allow me to crop around a selected area. I know I've seen this before I just don't know what program it was.

what you may being trying to do , is not crop/cut selection from image, but rather use lasso tools selection to cut around item, copy and paste as new or other,

you can use paint star lasso with transparency or not, and most others,

Well if you have photoshop - you can use the  magic wand, lasso, magic eraser

If not, go to www.fotoflexer.com and use the smart scissors or smart cut out under the "geek" section.

theres photoshop  / jasc/gimp.. im just using jasc for my edi stuff  i make tags " put names on pics and other stuff"
