P2P programs do not give you spy ware they can give you viruses however when you use the program the wrong way.

I am talking about limewire,  A program like limewire does not have any viruses and also is not capable to mess up a computer.

When someone uses it the wrong way by downloading the wrong kind of files, you definitely will get infected with a virus.

There are a lot of fake files in p2p programs, When you do a search for a song or movie, you always see a lot of those small files 98kb, 359kb etc.

Those files are much too small to be a song or movie and therefore it is very likely that those small files are the fake files.

Just start downloading files larger than 2500/3000kb.

Nothing is completely safe, have your anti virus up to date, just in case.
