I'm looking for a reflective material similar to what is used in car sun shades. Anyone know where to look?

  1. You could try 3M's website or this one below.


  2. If you are looking for the kind with the bubble-wrap in between two shiny sides of the accordion-style sun shades, you can look in your local hardware store's insulation department. They sell it in rolls.

  3. wal mart used to have this stuff in the automotive area. And a lumber yard Ace hardware will have it or be able to get it for you.

  4. Try finding some aluminized-mylar gift-wrapping paper.  This is the same material that's used in those foil-mylar balloons, but I've seen it in sheets at dollar stores.  The aluminum is so thin that you can see through it, and it's a lot like those reflective sunglasses.

  5. Camping supply departments sell Solar blankets, which are similar.
