I'm looking for a short, simple play for foreign students who are learning English.?

Question

I live in Spain & teach English to the locals. I want a play in simple English which would last between 30 & 60 mins. These students are of a pre-intermediate level which isn't very high. There will be between 5 & 7 of them. Also I intend to video it & in effect make a little film. Not been able to find anything suitable so far. Can anyone help?

Try and find a play of Alice in Wonderland. The language ought to be quite simple, and your students will probably be familiar with the story.

Why not write your own, based on their lives?  You will find that the vast majority of literature is far too complex for them, and full of culture-bound concepts. If you write your own, not only will the content be relevant to them, but you can ensure that the language you want them to learn is included.

I really enjoy writing my own teaching materials: it is one of the creative aspects of teaching that attract me to this work.
