  3. I have recently learned that I am a celiac and started the gluten free diet a year ago. Since then I have created a website Http://www.beatwheat.com to educate people on gluten intolerance and celiac disease. On my website you will find recipes, gluten free restaurant reviews, health information, my personal blog, and a forum. During my recovery process I found the online community to be my most important resource for coping and education. I hope you find my website helpful as well.

  7. Hi, has your doctor given you any testing for gluten intolerance? Before you go gluten free you need a blood test called a t-TG at the least.. It will check for gluten antibodies and help determine if you have celiac or not. You must be actively consuming gluten for the tests to be accurate, so call your doc and ask for a t-TG before beginning the gf diet.

There are many great sites with great food ideas. Here are a few of my favs:

    http://www.celiac.com/

    http://gluten-freerecipes.blogspot.com/

    http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/

any book by Bette Haggman, the gf for dummies are actually good books as well.

Hope this helps, please get a solid diagnosis first though, ok?
