Question:

I'm looking for a trunk bike mount at a good price

I'm new to cycling and have been enjoying my mountain bike a lot, but I really need to get a bike mount for my car so I can take it out to parks easily. I have a 2003 Mustang with spoiler (it's small and the original that was made with the car). Can anyone give me recommendations for a trustable trunk-attachable bike mount for a good price (I'm hoping for less than $60, but I can adjust if it makes a discernible difference in reliability).

  2. I had the same problem trying to find a bike rack for my Miata with a wing spoiler on it and my RX-8 with a wing spoiler.  The only thing I found that would work besides getting a trailer hitch type setup was a Saris Bones 2.    I paid $120 at a local bike shop.  I didn't want to spend that much but I couldn't find anything else that would work.

I like it allot but it has plastic screws that hold the arms in position that you need to be careful with. The ribs on the rack really hold the arms and the thumb screws just keep the arm from sliding  so you really don't need to torque them down.

I like it allot and its comes with a Lifetime Warranty

The link below is selling them for $99

Here is another Saris rack for $65 that may work.
