I'm looking for a type of book ..... details below?

the type of book can be mystery(or) thriller and adventure. what I'm asking is . like lets say in the book the main character meets whatever enemy the author creates and .he/she joins up with the main character. like if a bad guy.woman realizes she is doing wrong... that's about as good as i can explain it.............also anyone know of any Christopher Pike Novels that has a male character? any dates of books are good (1970-1999 I'd prefer) good luck thinking of some i'm browsing on line book stores and library's for good reading

Not sure exactly what you're after, but if you want the main character to join with the enemy, and a woman who knows she's doing wrong, check out The Ninth Generation. It's a mysterious and very unusual adventure.
