I'm looking for a video camera that allows you to take 3+ MP stills to a card while playing back the tape.?

I have an old Canon Elura that I can take <1MP stills from the tape. It is a great feature. Also am interested in>10-20 optical zoom on the same camera.

Are you looking for a camera that allows you to take 3mp stills from the tape? - Aint gonna happen - Video doesn&#039;t have that kind of resolution at a consumer level.

If you&#039;re looking for a camera that will allow you to take 3mp pictures and save to a flash card, look at the new AVCHD cameras - they also record video to flash cards.
