  1. You'll need a soundcard like Creatives X-Fi Soundblaster Deluxe that has both the PCI card for your computer and the console you install in the front of your hard drive tower which has the proper inputs/outputs you'll need.

    Once these are installed, you simply run a cable from the output on your cassette or stereo (maybe just the headphone jack) to the appropriate input on the newly installed console and voila!  The software generally does the rest from there, but you can play with it a bit until you get the levels and outcome you're looking for.

    The key to remember is you're moving from analog (cassette) to digital (computer/disk), so what you're looking for is something which converts the signal.
