I'm looking for a wire that is optical on one and and componet cable (red, white) on other end?

is there such a wire. my hdtv has no optical input and the device im trying to hookup only has an optical slot for sound. thanks

No. The cable you need is an Optical Digital Audio Cable. Digital Output Jacks are found on DVD players and Blue Ray, Digital Cable Boxes.

You have to hook the device to a Audio Component System with an Optical Digital Audio Input and go out the Audio Component's Speakers.

I doubt that there is device out there that has optical audio output and NO standard, analog RCA audio output.

I am sure the device you try to connect has analog audio out you can connect to your TV.

What is that device you try to connect?

that would require a converter that would be very expensive. What is the device you are trying to connect? Optical is digital and the red, white RCA cable (not component. component is video) is analog
