  1. My first recommendation for an up-scale restaurant for special occassion would be Todd English's "Olives" in Charlestown.  It's my first choice for my birthday dinner, every year.

Best steak:  Abe & Louie's on Boylston Street.  Better than the Palm or Morton's

L''Espalier is a culinary exploration set in an 1880 Back Bay Townhouse. This chic & modern restaurant features inventive New England-French cuisine with an emphasis on local ingredients.

Aujourd 'h*i in the Four Seasons Hotel on Boylston Street is lovely....the service and atmosphere are top rate.

You can't go wrong with any of these restaurants!  Bon Appetit

  2. Abe & Louie's on Boylston Street, Boston is the best.  Always great service and a great meal.  The steak is out of this world.  They also have seafood and other specialties..

Make reservations well in advance, they are always booked!!!!!!

    Enjoy.

  3. There's a very nice diner in the area that's pretty upscale.  I can't remember the name though.

  4. Try Fiore in the the North End. The food is to DIE for!

  5. Mooo on Beacon Street, by far the best...Great selections of wines...

  6. Capital Grille on Newbury Street.

  7. OMG, Boston has so many, here's 1, I was there just once about 10 yrs ago and it only gets better.
