  1. How about a ship with stuff inside.

  2. How about those wind-up chattering teeth or a gift basket of dental related items (toothbrush, floss, mouthwash)

  3. Try a bouquet of toothbrushes wrapped in a bow or tooth brushes in champagne glass, vase with a bow. Or use a lot of floss  and strings them through soft  white mints that look like teeth that would be great on a platter or a mint on a string down in a champagne glass after guests are finished with there drink. Just visualize people eating mints on floss with tooth brushes coming out of a vase in assorted colors.  Or you can push the mints close together on the string like a set of teeth on a necklace like a welcome invite for each guest to wear like they do in Hawaii.  Try baking a cake that shape like a tube of tooth paste with icing coming out of the tube.

I wasn't sure of where you center piece would be located, but I think it's great for a  table setting! Good luck!

  4. Go to a garage sale--pick up some old rusty drill bits, screwdrivers, hammer, chisels, kitchen black, brown, or yellow, even green ceramic  (break into pieces. pick out tooth-size pieces), Not a centerpiece you want on the dinner table: just label a small table at entrance, entitled, "Joe's (graduate's) tools of the trade".  Add some lollipops, mini candy bars, etc. for the creative, "Joe's Tricks of the Trade--Repeat business/giveaway section of Joe' s table!!"

  5. A champagne glass filled with cherry jello and some Chicklets around the rim and a pair of pliers in the center.

  6. Tan and light aqua blue would be an unusual color combination, but reminiscent of the ocean:)   Tan table cloths with light aqua cloths on top, and tan napkins...tie the napkins with raffia.  If they're long tables, a long piece of driftwood down the center (if they're round, then use small pieces), with a few tan or aqua votive candles tucked in.  Just a few starfish around...   Keep it simple, serene and elegant

  7. How about bowls of shells? Or a hurricane lamp, filled with sand and a candle stuck inside. I like bowls of interesting fruit.

Clacking teeth!! That would be fun!

  8. Maybe some tall vases (you could probably buy these second hand if you need to) and filled with stacked  Christmas tree balls in one color. Or how about lemons or oranges?

  9. Place a medium to large size glass vase with some sand on the bottom then place some washed-out branches (can be found at any good florist or craft store) in the vase. You can even place candles in the center. Gives a classic and beautiful driftwood effect without being too feminine or kitschy.

  10. Do lots of candles of all different sizes. Or a giant champagne glass filled with confetti and dentistry themed things.  You can get travel sized toothpaste and tooth brushes and even dental floss and scatter them around the table, as long as you include some confetti or things you can buy at a party store to dress it up and make it seem festive.
