Stay away from any Bayliner. They are all junk.

First off - people who say "bayliner's are junk" are just inexperienced boaters who know nothing about boats... funny thing is these same people will buy a Sea Ray or Maxum... when they are essentially the same boats as the bayliners...  Newer bayliners are GREAT boats for the money.  They have come along way from the late 80's early 90's models that got them their poor reputation.  The quantums were bass boats if I remember correctly... not the greatest boats, but I would look to boattraderonline.com and yachtworld.com as a place to start - ebay might also be a good spot.  One thing on the engine, they stopped making Force (which are very cheap, but very simple too) so I would look for something with a Merc....

pay no attention to the "bayliner is junk" routine on these forums. Ask around, you will hear all kinds of opinions, some better than others and some with facts.

As with ANY boat, almost 20 years old will have some problem areas, etc. Bayliner is well known and well-SOLD! I keep hearing that they are junk, so why do they keep selling so well?

As to answering your question, I would start on EBAY and search for BAYLINER BROCHURE, manual, etc. If that doesnt work , why not call your local bayliner dealer and ask where they get their documents from?

Bayliners are junk, listen to the first guy.  They sell well because they are usually cheaper in cost, and for some reason they gained a ton of popularity in the 80's, as they did a great job at marketing to the "yuppie class" with appealing boats.  Their hulls are notorious for having much lower shelf lives than other solid hulled boats, and their "appealing" colors and accents look horible after years of fading in the sun.
