You should know that the planet has done this since the beginning of time, and that it will continue until the end of time, regardless of humans.  We can slightly speed the process up, and it might create a warming effect, but just as quickly it will turn into an "OMG global cooling!! act fast!!!"

Its a bunch of bull that you'd do well to ignore. Its like saying there's a drought in the fall because a river drops a few feet.  It goes in cycles, and the water will return in the spring when the snow melts again.

A lot of things in our planet go naturally in cycles.  This is one of them.

Global Warming MEANS "World Wide Warming!" It is ONLY A Political Term = NOT based in Real Science!

The EARTH is covered by "Three Quarters WATER!" Basic Science, it takes ONE-Btu to raise One Cubic Centimeter ONE Degree Centigrade!

HOW many "Gazillion Cubic Centimeters are there ONLY on the Surface of Planet Earth COVERED by 3/4 Water?"

HOW many Btu's would it take TO RAISE THE SURFACE TEMPERATURE ONE DEGREE?

DO THE MATH!

And, were are the Million TEMPERATURE MEASURING SITES on the Many Oceans THAT TELL US THAT THE OCEAN TEMPERATURES ARE RISING? Not!

Oh yes, POLAR temperatures have varied LESS Than one degree in the past 100-Years. Noticed I said VARIED, = NOT RISEN!

The fact that only the earth’s surface is warming points to direct heating from the sun rather than heating due to greenhouse gasses. Also other planets in our solar system are warming pointing to a common cause of warming, that common cause being the sun.

There is a wealth of information on global climate change...warming or cooling-using 'climate change' as a guide word will get you a more balanced outlook on the THEORY, as yet unproven, of global warming...good luck and use some common sense when you read, this topic is not that difficult, as many here on this post would have you believe...

Some gases ("greenhouse gases") let sunlight in, which warms the Earth, and then block that heat from leaving. That's the "greenhouse effect", and it's a natural thing, mostly caused by water vapor.  It's like putting a blanket on the Earth.

Man is making excessive amounts of greenhouse gases, mostly by burning fossil fuels. That causes the delicate natural balance to go out of whack and the Earth warms. That's global warming.

It won't be a Hollywood movie style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.

Most scientists say, in 20-50 years. But we need to start right now to fix it, fixing it will take even longer than that.
