What kinds of questions should I ask?

Please, if you can, list as many questions as possible..

Also, what kinds of things should I look out for when looking at the apartment complex itself and the apartment inside?

I need all the info I can get....

Thanks in advance :-)

  1. You would need to just go look at some places.  Find out what they pay, like water, trash, sewage.  When looking at the apartment looking on the ceiling and walls see if there are any brown spots from water damage.

Also check the complex out on this site.

  2. *find out about how much electricity will be a month if its not included

*find out about snow removal/lawn care depending on where you live

*check the water pressure in the shower!

*check to see if there are any leaks in the bathroom or kitchen

*ask about any complaints with your neighbors

    *find out about parking spots

*make sure you can fit furniture inside the apartment (i had one once where i couldn't fit my couch through the door to get it inside!)

*make sure all the windows lock and there is a good lock on the door

*make sure there is a phone cord already there (again had an apartment once where there wasn't one)

*check and make the sure outlets all work

this is just off the top of my head from prior apartments..hope it helps!
