His birth name was Steven and I think it was changed. He was adopted to a family in San Antonio and I think the dad was in the military. I really want to get in contact with him.

  1. Keep yourself away from him as possible as you can. He is sure happy now with that family and you are just going to hurt him for second time in his life. It is easy to care for somebody twenty years later, give me a break !

  2. Please email me privately I can help you okay.  amyburt40@yahoo.com

Geez I don't understand how someone could be so heartless.

  3. Contact the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services website, and go to "Adoption".  there, look for the Adoption Registry.  You can register yourself, and if either your child, or your child's adoptive parents, are also wanting contact, they will out you in touch with each other.  Also, if you know the agency or attorney, contact them.

  4. Good luck with finding your son!!

Dont let people get you down. I have a friend who lived 30 years without knowing her birth mother, then one day out of the blue got a phone call and met her... She now sees her birth mother weekly (she ended up living less than 30min away). She even has her adoptive mother and birth mother over together all the time, they r like one big happy family!!

  5. If he was adopted to a military family, it may be hard tracking him down since he probably moved so often.  I wish you tons of luck though.  Perhaps you could contact the adoption agency and see how much information is allowed to be released to you.

  6. Speaking as an adult adoptee, I wish to let you know that I would be THRILLED if my mother came knocking at my door.   My arms and my heart are wide-open to her and so are those of my adoptive family.

I wish you the best of luck in your quest and please please don't let anyone stop you from following your heart - whilst some people are closed off emotionally, there are lots of us out here who would love to be found.

I hope you  are registered with http://www.isrr.net/ and

    http://registry.adoption.com/

Please feel free to contact me if  you would like any help at all, I have access to Texas databases and search and support help

  7. well was it under opened adoption? if not you will have to find the birth records and you can do this by using the name he was given originally. steven something. you get it here san antonio and then they have cross file here in same place and you can find out maybe where he is or soemthing its a start.
