I'm looking for plans or blueprints of railroads in New Jersey. What would be the best source?

Central Railroad of New Jersey from Somerville to Flemington to be exact.

    If you can find an old Official Guide Of The Railways it will have a listing and map of the old CNJ.  If all else fails e-mail me off-list and I can send you the timetable of the Flemington Branch from CNJ's 1970 listing in the Official Guide.  Is the branch still around or has it since been abandoned? (I'm not too familiar with the old CNJ.)


  2. Here are a couple links.  I've also seen railroad map books in railway museum stores (the O Winston Link museum, for one) that show regions of the country and all old or new rail lines.

    If the railroad is still running, it'll probably be shown on the state-issued highway map.

  3. go to the Newark Public Library they have a Jersey room on the second floor lots of research.

    On the web there must be a jersey central historical society

    railpace magazine used to have stories of the old days.
