  1. Stirling - Threshold Restaurant - (01877) 330018 - 14 Main Street -

    The Byre Inn Restaurant - (01877) 376292 - Brig O'Turk

    The Saffron Indian Restaurant - (01360) 440505 - 127 Buchanan Street, Balfron -

  2. Outside of Stirling there is Thornhill with The Lion & Unicorn or The Crown, and in Kippen you have the Inn at Kippen and The Cross Keys (recently taken over and they have a daughter). Both have an area where you can ask for 1 table of 8 and above. The one downside to this is they dont't have a separate children's area per se, but both accommodating none the less.

In Gargunnock there is the Gargunnock Inn, locally run and kids welcome.

In Stirling your best bet would probably be the Filling Station on the corner opposite Port Customs bar (best Guinness in Stirling but nae kids allowed as it is a real boozer, top place though).

There are concessions in the Thistle centre, but I have a 7 yo myself and I am not too keen on the quality of the food.

There is also Papa Joe's on Dumbarton Road, but not having been there for a few years, I couldn't really say.

Also try the Tolbooth, since its renovation it has a couple of good places to eat.

Finally the MacRobert centre out at the university is excellent and their cafe is pretty good and they have a play area for the kids.

    Happy eating

  3. TRY THESE:-

    The Riverhouse Restaurant, Stirling

The Westerton Arms, Bridge of Allan

The Walmer Hotel, Bridge of Allan

    The Coach House, Aberfoyle
