  1. Total honesty up front, and only give references if you have asked the teachers first and if you know that they are going to give you a positive account of your abilities and potential.  You don't want someone saying "Don't hire him/her because....".  

    Be prepared to talk about yourself, where you were trained, what you are most skilled in, and why you want this line of work.  These are your "initial" interview comments.  If you get past the first interview, look for more specific questions pertaining a specific field for example.  Good Luck.


  2. The interviewers will want to see something that seems connected with the person they are interviewing, so it won't turn out well if you get an answer from someone else that isn't true for you.

    Just be honest. Sometimes it's good if you weren't a perfect student - it shows you can relate to the students who you'll work with who are struggling. If you didn't do great in school when you were younger, say that and then explain how you overcame it.
