  1. Try painted toast. Toast some bread 9white works best for this one) and pour some milk into small bowls, adding a different food colouring to each one. Give each child a pastry brush and have them paint their toast with a face or a house or a bird, whatever takes their fancy.

    And the best thing about their painting is that they can eat it!

    Also try fruit loop necklaces, corncob paint-rolling, dried fruit animal scultptures with toothpicks, potato printing etc.


  2. Maybe some cereal. You can do lots of fun things with Fruity Pebbles!

  3. Apple pie is always a great activity i amuse my nephews with.

    If you are looking for a less time consuming project here are two suggestions :

    1) Make some pudding and take a bunch of toppings to have them shove into the pudding.

    2) Give them a bunch of food products (pretzels, twizzlers, m&m's, marshmallows, choco chips, apple slices etc.) and tell them to create a picture with it.

  5. easy to make fruit dip.                              4to6 servings

    1 cp cream cheese softened              

    1cp pineapple yogurt

    1cp whipped topping                                                

    1/4cp coconut

    lots of cut up fruits pretzels and cookies for  dipping,

    I love to make animals and shapes by putting the dip on the plate and then makeing pics out of the fruit.  an easier way is just by apple dipping carmel and get  creative.

  7. Decorating their own Pizza- toast each kid a half of an english muffin, bagel, pita or slice of bagette, give them each a side of sauce, cheeses, veggies, meats, etc.

    P-nut butter playdough - 1 c. peanut butter, 1/4 c. honey, 1/2 c. powdered milk - Use as regular playdough, then eat!

    Mellon World - mellon ball and toothpicks - make people, animals, etc. by piercing mellon balls with toothpicks and connecting them all together into shapes.

    Bake muffins together - mixing, measuring and pouring are fun too!

  9. Edible play dough. Made of equal parts peanut butter, honey and powdered milk. It will be easy for them to make, and fun to play with.
