She has been a real inspiration to me this past year and I don't know if I would have made it without her as my mentor. She's a colorful person with a personable demeanor. I'm looking for ideas that are thoughtful, quirky, corny, involved, and most of all creative and unique!

How about a gift basket made by you.  If you have an idea of what her hobbies are, a favorite book Author, use a favorite color and buy things of the theme you chose to put into the basket.

You could do a basket in really bright colors and write a note to let her know you've really appreciated all the help she's given you.  

Things in the basket could be:

Coffee mug with different flavored coffees, chocolates,  pastries or muffins, gift card to a favorite coffee shop.

A spa basket:

Bath gels & salts, candles, a cd with calming music, Bath scrubber, teas, some flowers.  Or a gift card for a spa treatment.

If she has kids;

Maybe a night of free babysitting so she can go out to dinner with hubby or friends and a movie.

Or take her out for lunch and a movie date on a Saturday.

If she's really up to it and you can afford it how about a Hot Air Balloon Ride.
