I'm looking for something DIFFERENT...who has thoughts?

I'm pretty knowledgeable about cars, so let's get that out of the way, but I came to a personal epiphany today. That is, all cars (at least the affordable ones), are pretty much all the same these days. You've got your 4-door sedans that all look the same, SUVs that all look the same, and ever since the end of the 90's, the extinction of the small 4-cylinder convertible.

Can SOMEBODY please help me think of something that is REALLY DIFFERENT. I mean something that will make people want to ask me "what's that?" at a stop light. A sporty roadster (preferably) that gets good mileage (and please note that I don't consider 25MPG "good"). The ONLY think I can think of is the Can-am Spyder, but that's really a motorcycle.

I have to be overlooking something. Anybody have any ideas?

Look into the tesla roadster....  0-60 in 3.9 seconds and it's electric.

VW Thing, a Cabrio, Oh, and Saturn (yes, believe it or not) makes a sweet convertible now!  They are all different and affordable.  Good luck!
